Shura Oyarce Yuzzelli is a Peruvian artist and poet who lives and works in Italy. She studied painting at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Lima and later moved to Florence, where she graduated in architecture.
Oyarce is known for his works that combine visual and poetic elements, often exploring themes of interiority and emotional reflection. One of his most recognized works is "Now", which was selected for an exhibition commemorating 70 years since the death of the Italian writer Cesare Pavese. This exhibition was held at the Open Sky Museum in Camo, in the province of Cuneo.
His works have been exhibited in several personal and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and he has also published poems.
Shura is known for her works that combine visual and poetic elements, often exploring themes of interiority and emotional reflection. His works range from various expressive mediums, including painting, sculpture, installations and poetry. His creations are characterized by a strong emotional charge and a deep introspection, which invite the viewer to personal and intimate reflection.
Among his best-known sculptures are "La Llorona and la curandera" and "Chasqui... messenger of heaven", both exhibited in various international exhibitions. Recently, Shura presented a sculpture in the "CICATR/CI" exhibition at the Milan Triennial, entitled "Venus of Milo". This sculpture, filled with red drapes, symbolizes scars and suffering, while the sculpture’s white represents the divine, white soul that withstands adversity.

Shura has exhibited in several personal and collective exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, receiving numerous accolades for his artistic contribution.
Publications
In addition to her visual art activity, Shura Oyarce Yuzzelli has also published poems. Her writing is characterized by evocative language and emotional depth that mirror her visual work. His poems explore themes of love, loss, memory and identity, offering an additional dimension to his artistic universe.
Shura's artistic philosophy is based on the exploration of the human condition through art. It tries to capture and transmit universal emotions, creating a connection between the work and the audience. His influences range from traditional Peruvian art to contemporary art, with a particular interest in the interactions between text and image.
