Sebastiano Sechi (also known as Sebas)

Born: February 3, 1954, in Ossi (SS), Italy

Sebastiano Sechi attended the Art Institute of Sassari, the oldest and most prestigious art school in Sardinia, from the 1960s to 2010, which later became the State Art High School "Filippo Figari." His strong aptitude for painting was refined through the teachings of prominent masters such as Stanis Dessy and his daughter Paola, sculptor Gavino Tilocca, Zaza Calzia, Antonio Atza, Salvatore Coradduzza, and Arturo Lucidori.

He alternated impressionist oil painting, particularly in participating in various plein-air painting competitions, with surrealism and metaphysical art. For several years, he also experimented with digital art. However, for the past couple of years, he has returned to traditional painting, blending surrealism, metaphysical, and abstract styles.

Sebas does not set limits for himself; he creates based on what he feels at the moment of painting. At his current age, he continues to seek new horizons in contemporary art.
