Carla Colombo was born, lives and works in Imbersago (Lc), at her studio ArteCarla in Via Brianza n. 16.

At a very young age she discovered a passion for colors and approached the world of self-taught painting, partially fulfilling the desire for discovery and research that accompanied her throughout her artistic career.

Her continuous research and love for art encouraged her to attend the School of Pure and Applied Art in Merate under the guidance of well-known masters of the area, in particular Maestro F. Torazza.

In the 90s, the meeting with Maestro A. Beretta of Milan gave her a new artistic energy that exploded in works that were increasingly personal and recognizable by their application and chromatic spontaneity.

Over the years she explores and experiments with different paths from the traditional canon and it is in these interpretations that she lets us glimpse a new world, bordering on the contemporary and the modern, always favoring the technique most congenial to her, the oil that she spreads admirably with energetic and spontaneous spatulas. She also expresses herself with watercolors, preferring the macchiaiola technique, the ink that she develops in fantasy creations - zentangle, mixed techniques for which she also uses recycled and natural materials, such as stones, sand, chalk, marble dust.

Since 1996, the year of her artistic recovery, she has held about one hundred solo exhibitions in various locations, she has participated in many group exhibitions organized in all the regions of Italy, but also abroad: Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, United Kingdom, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela.
