Hasnaa Ettour

ETTOUR HASNAA Moroccan painter. In fact, I planned to become a writer, and had already entered competitions with the Academy of French Literature in France. I won small prizes and continued until I got the right to publish a poem. Because of a trip outside Morocco, I stopped everything. Until I returned I resumed drawing mode. I turned my words into drawing, and my pen into brushes. Art remains the most expressive and generous medium

Participation

My paintings are puzzles for me, for my soul, for my thoughts. Every painting is a part of me.
I have participated in many group exhibitions:
• At the Media Library in Casablanca (Médiathèque).
• A group exhibition in Marrakech at a hotel with Moroccan and foreign artists.

Eventually, I was able to hold a solo exhibition featuring nearly 50 paintings at the Nadra Gallery in Rabat, Hassan.

I paint portraits that I feel closest to.

I have experimented with abstraction, nature, and other styles, but I find myself more in portraits, especially of women. I paint myself as I am or as I wish to be.

In principle, they are faces from photos that I redraw in my own way or portraits of myself.
